On the morning of November 2, 2023, centered around the theme of "Better Design, Greater Wuhan - Technological Innovation, Design Leads the Way," the 5th Wuhan Creative City Roundtable Conference was held at the WISCO Cloud Valley 606 Industrial Park. This roundtable conference once again invited David Grossman, the former President of the International Council of Design, to serve as the chief curator and academic host. Thirty-six experts and city representatives from 12 foreign Citties of Design, including Cape Town in South Africa, Dundee in Scotland, Puebla and Querétaro in Mexico, Seoul in South Korea, Kortrijk in Belgium, Singapore, Wanganui in New Zealand, Asahikawa, Nagoya, and Kobe in Japan, and Chiang Rai in Thailand, as well as 10 domestic creative cities, engaged in dialogues on specific topics such as "The Role of Design in Urban Evolution" and "Supporting Local Design Industry Infrastructure to Promote Industrial Integration and Development." The scene was filled with intellectual stimulation and idea exchanges.

On the morning of November 3, the delegation of creative city representatives visited the City of Design Demonstration Parks including Duoniu World Fashion Creative Industrial Park and the D+M Industrial Design Town', and the Airport Investment Projects. On the afternoon, they headed to the School of Art and Design at Wuhan University of Technology and the School of Urban Design at Wuhan University for academic exchanges and todiscuss future academic collaborations.
