Date :2019-11-02 - 2019-11-02
Project Introduction

On November 2, 2019, the Third Wuhan City of Design Roundtable Conference was held. With the theme of "Fostering the Development of Creative Communities," Chinese and foreign guests exchanged and shared cases from different cities. They also delved into discussions on how creative communities are defined and developed, and what contributions creative communities can make to our socio-economic and cultural development. The academic host of this roundtable was David Grossman, the former President of the International Council of Design. Designers from eight countries, including China, France, Thailand, Japan, Austria, Spain, South Africa, and Mexico, discussed this topic from their respective city's perspectives.

A common theme emerged in the speakers' presentations: seeking cooperation with Wuhan, China. The development potential of China's creative communities is immense, and cooperation has become an international consensus. At the end of the event, Chiang Mai University and Hubei University of Technology signed an inter-university cooperation agreement to enhance interactive cooperation and open new doors for more opportunities and collaborations in the future.
