On the afternoon of November 13, 2016, the first Wuhan City of Design Roundtable Conference was held at the Wuhan Conference Center. A delegation consisting of UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture Francesco Bandarin and more than ten Chinese and foreign experts provided suggestions regarding Wuhan's application for the designation of City of Design.
Mr. Francesco Bandarin and his delegation arrived in Wuhan on the 12th and visited the landscape design of East Lake, Chuhe Hanjie, the newly renovated James Jackson Museum in Wuchang Xuanhualin, the BIG HOUSE Industrial Heritage Exhibition Hall at Wuchang Riverbank, Hankou Riverbank Park, the renovation project of the historical buildings complex on Lihuangpi Road and Zhongshan Road, and the Yangtze River Civilization Museum.
