From November 11 to 30, 2011, the first Wuhan Design Biennale and the Art City Forum serial cultural events were held at the Wuhan Art Museum. The exhibition focused on engineering design, showcasing the integration of "engineering and art." It promoted the comprehensive strength and charm of "Wuhan Engineering Design" to the world through classic engineering photographs, outstanding engineering models, artistic perspectives, and artistic means. The exhibition featured 100 works, including prints, watercolor paintings, and other artistic pieces. It also highlighted 11 modern outstanding buildings in Wuhan, over 50 engineering design firms based in Wuhan, and some classic projects of Wuhan construction enterprises, achieving a combination of engineering design and visual arts. During the biennale, six high-level summit forums and 16 themed day activities were organized.
